The course begins at 8:00 am unless otherwise noted. Participants should arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Globally Harmonized System of classification and Labelling of Chemicals *GHS), referred to as WHMIS 2015 (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
WHIMIS is a training for employers who are engaged in a business where chemicals are used, distributed, or produced for use or distribution.
For those who will import into Canada, hazardous products produced in other countries for the purpose of supplying them to distributors, clients or employers within Canada.
For distributors, which are businesses, other than chemical manufacturers or importers, that supply hazardous products to employers or other distributors.
COURSE OBJECTIVES: To protect people and the environment from potential exposure to hazardous products by ensuring that your employer provides necessary protection in the form of appropriate tools, policies, and standards.
DURATION: The duration of the course is 4 hours and includes a mandatory written theory test (English only). CERTIFICATION STRUCTURE: All participants who successfully complete this program will receive a Certificate of Completion.
