The course begins at 8:00 am unless otherwise noted. Participants should arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Practical rigging is essential skill for all riggers and crane operators. This practical rigging training course provides riggers and operators with a strong foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance for equipment and proper rigging procedures.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Describe how to safely and efficiently rig a load
Demonstrate the proper methods of slinging a load
Explain the fundamental properties of different sling types and describe the methods of attachment to use in rigging
DURATION: The duration of the course is 8 hours and includes a mandatory written theory test (English only).
CERTIFICATION STRUCTURE: All participants who successfully complete this program will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of principles relating to safe hoisting and rigging practices in the construction industry.
